Lena Barsky joined Legal Momentum in May 2015 and is the Program Associate for the National Judicial Education Program (NJEP). Lena provides programmatic and administrative support to NJEP. She provides technical assistance to court systems and justice system professionals, plans judicial and multidisciplinary education programs, and oversees programmatic grant reporting.
Prior to joining Legal Momentum, Lena was a data analyst at the National Committee for an Effective Congress, a research assistant to Professor Steven G. Calabresi of Northwestern Law School, and a summer intern at the National Immigrant Women's Advocacy Project. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude from Brown University in 2014 with a degree in Classics-Latin. During her senior year at Brown, Lena co-founded the Sexual Assault Policy Task Force with the aim of improving the sexual assault portion of Brown’s Student Code of Conduct and changing the campus’ approach to educating about and preventing sexual violence on campus. The Task Force has since evolved into Brown Imagine Rape Zero, an ongoing student movement to reform sexual assault policy and prevention at Brown.
