Caitlin McCartney joined Legal Momentum as a Gender Justice Fellow. Before joining Legal Momentum, Caitlin worked as a Civil Rights Fellow at the New York State Office of the Attorney General, where she focused on sex-based discrimination in employment and education. As a law student at the University of North Carolina School of Law, Caitlin worked as a Certified Student Practitioner in the Immigration Clinic, where she helped secure immigration relief for undocumented victims of domestic violence. Caitlin was an editor on the North Carolina Journal of International Law & Commercial Regulation and published a comment about childbirth under the European Convention. During her summer internships with Legal Momentum and the National Women's Law Center, Caitlin worked to enhance protections for student victims of sexual assault and pregnant workers. In addition to holding a law degree, Caitlin has an M.A. in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University. She received her B.A. from Davidson College.
