NEW YORK, March 13, 2018—Facebook’s Vice President and Deputy General Counsel (Regulatory, Product, Privacy), Ashlie Beringer, will be honored with a 2018 Women of Achievement Award by Legal Momentum, the Women’s Legal Defense and Education Fund, at its Women of Achievement Awards Dinner on March 21, 2018 in San Francisco. Legal Momentum leads action for the legal rights of women through education and advocacy. The award recognizes women who have achieved distinction in law, business, and public service.

Ms. Beringer leads Facebook’s legal department’s global Product, Privacy, and Regulatory teams. Before joining Facebook in 2013, she was a litigation partner in the Palo Alto office of Gibson Dunn, where she first chaired the successful defense of numerous high-stakes technology, privacy and intellectual property disputes and regulatory matters. Her other recognitions include being named one of California’s Top 100 lawyers recently and one of California’s Top Women Litigators on multiple occasions. Law360 named Ms. Beringer one of five national MVPs in the area of Privacy and Consumer Protection, and previously, named her a national "Rising Star." The Recorder repeatedly has recognized Ms. Beringer as one of 50 Women Leaders in Tech Law. Ms. Beringer is Chambers-ranked in the National Privacy & Data Security category.
