Internship Opportunity—Women in Soccer
Legal Momentum, the oldest women’s rights legal advocacy group in the nation, is seeking pro bono assistance for a project related to women in sports.
Legal Momentum, along with the law firm of Kaye Scholer, is putting together a report and interactive map that shows that countries around the world are violating international treaties, as well as their own laws by:
- paying women soccer players less than they pay men;
- forcing women to play on turf (rather than grass) fields—jeopardizing both the health and careers of women players; and
- not having women in managerial positions within the professional soccer establishment.
Legal Momentum is looking for interns to help research law in countries around the world, and to help put together our interactive map.
We will have a series of research sessions at Kaye Scholer to complete our work, for students from all law schools in the New York area.
International students as well as bilingual students are welcome.
If you are interested in working with us on this project, please send a brief letter of interest and a copy of your resume via e-mail to JAfirstname.lastname@example.org
